Dia de los muertos sketches

Sketches for the upcoming Dia de los Muertos art show in November. Well the first one anyway which is a thumb for a full illustration I need to get done by Thursday, the second one is my character Mana dressed for the holiday that I just felt like doing for fun. I hope I can get it done by then.

So I got introduced to this special new anime called Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt by Gainax. The style's awesome and it's pretty much chibi action with a mix of adult perv humor, which is a combination of everything I like ahaha.
Anyway Izuma and Tickity-Tock just got me involved in this little meme thing they come up with in the show's style so I gave it a shot. I am oddly enough proud of that hand.

Rest in Peace Mr. Stray

This morning my uncle discovered that someone had dumped the body of a stray cat in front of our curb, talk about subtle. I called in the sanitation department to pick it up and afterward I looked at the cat again. The poor thing looked physically healthy before it passed. So while I wait for the sanitation crew to come I made a lil farewell pic for the little guy.

Sketch-o-holic Entry

I think I went waaaaaaay overboard with this

I had a thing for the Cardcaptor Sakura series when I was little, granted I watched the 'botched' american version. Aside the episodes being mixed around and story inconsistancy I actually liked the first dubbed version. The opening and the voice overs were really good at that time. Later in life I got to watch the revised version. How much I despised, destested and loathe voice acting. Severely high pitched little girls that would make your ears bleed profusely. I can understand that they want the voices to match the japanese, but come on, is it really necessary to make all the actors/actresses inhale a whole tank of helium during every recording?

I'm getting off topic now. This pic really did take a lot of patience to work on and I will say it was worth it. Here are some work in progress shots for anyone's amusement
